Kinda like this experiment. Somehow it reminds me of a remix tune from remix.kwed.org. The one I mean is the remix of Trick Bag by Mordi and DJ Skitz. If you'd like to listen to that, it can be found here: http://remix.kwed.org/?search_id=4839
(remove spaces, if newgrounds is still putting them in there automatically)
It's the acoustic piano at the beginning that reminds me to that.

HAHA WOW

Yes I was TOTALLY inspired by this. In fact, I had initially listened to it a lot years ago, but then stopped and in fact I totally forgot the name of the song! Now that you point out it's a Trick Bag remix I found the one that initially resonated with me:

Such a beautiful song... Dafunk (the guy who made it) is just amazing.

In fact one of the main reasons I switched up the chord progression in the second part is that It was feeling a little too samey to that song. Also, I couldn't write anything nearly as good as the main melody line in that piece, which is adsfjbeautiful.

Anyway thanks for the review and blast from the past :D

Well, to be honest it sounds rather 90's than 80's to me. The melodies and such sound quite like the good old 80's, but things like sidechaining and whatever this is called normally what Gross Beat in FL Studio and Beat Grid in VirtualDJ.

But hey, I like it! And don't feel bad for posting so many songs. If they're good, why not? Your songs are obviously no spam like other people's songs I've seen sometimes on the audio portal (but these people also spammed about 15-25 songs to the portal at a time).

Haha yeah fair point! I was using dblue glitch for the glitching stuff.

Haha okay then LET THE SPAM COMMENCE!!!

Sounds cool. Dunno if that's intended, but the PWM Lead in the second half sounds a bit like it's too far behind the other instruments, but I like it!

kirja100 responds:

Thanks!

That's indeed an interesting result of a christmas song transformed into a minor key. By the way I know the German version (Stille Nacht) as well ;)

RyeGuyHead responds:

Interesting is one way to describe it ;)

Partially a bit loud, but I like it. And hey, you got a Juno-D? I also got one (mine's a Juno-D Limited Edition).

RyeGuyHead responds:

The Juno is a great synth :D

Totally agree about the loud part, I accidentally went up an octave on my vocoder in the middle and it got clippy.

Glad you liked it!

Cool. Sounds groovy. The pad makes it sound quite wide and full. Well done.

Jernemies responds:

Thanks man .)

Unbelievable I would give a dubstep song 5 stars, but it's also unbelievable you got this done in LMMS.

davidnimmersatt responds:

well yeah thanks for your feedback. Actually I am not a big fan of this kind of dubstep, but somehow I produced it anyway. ;)

I like that background ambiance with the children playing. I guess if I would have used such ambiance it would result in a very dark and sad song probably, but that's due to my past. Feels good to listen to this instead.

johnfn responds:

Thanks, and I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your days now are more happy.

Maybe Videogame would be the better genre if it's intended to be a main menu theme.

Jernemies responds:

Good point. Seriously forgot about that *facepalm*

This could be a little bit longer. I like the pads sounding quite good in here.

Thrixe responds:

thanks! yeah I just desperately tried to make something without putting effort into it and I didn't know how to continue. I'll try making this a full song when I get my new computer going ^^
